Founded by initial owner Michelle Nel on 1 August 1996, Michelle Nel Brokers has, as advantageous starting base, extensive knowledge of both the South-African short-term insurance and motor sales industries.

Building up a high level of financial, risk analysis and marketing expertise in the employ of a large insurance company during the 1980’s, Michelle gained further exposure to the operational and administrative facets of vehicle finance when extending her career focus to become part of the sales division of a motor dealership.

Here Michelle also fermented very favorable relationships, which are still strongly existent, with a number of vehicle finance institutions. Immediately successful in its niche market of motor dealer business, Michelle Nel Brokers gradually expanded to integrate administrative as well as claims divisions.

Eleven consecutive years of stable, profitable growth, highly efficient services delivery and recognition through various achievements such as being elected “SA Underwriters”/Lloyd Best SA Producer in 1999 and receiving the Regent Insurance Golden Production Award
